KUT 2 KILL

Kut 2 Kill is now up for your listening pleasure.  More mixes to come!  I want to take a second to explain why this mix was made.  It came about after 5 years of DJing UK Hardcore and Old School Hardcore ending, at which point I ended up taking a year of because of lack of space/time.  However, immediately before that year I went with DJ’s Tim D. and Dabu to the WBCN River Rave to see The Chemical Brothers.  It was my first time witnessing something that amazing (they played a test press of Galvanize that seemed to go on forever!) and my first real introduction to a no boundary approach to DJing (aside from Liam Howlett’s - The Dirtchamber Sessions Vol. 1).  After this I moved to LA and worked for a small company where I met DJ T and DJ Ig.  I started DJing with them quite a bit and they showed me the pros of using CDJs (and later Serato), while at the same time introducing me to DJing many different styles of music.  With this new knowledge and newfound love for the music I started my search where it all began, Big Beat.  I spent quite a bit of time searching for tracks that not only went well together, but also created something new when put together, which to me, became the most exciting part of making this mix.  It took me almost a year to finish after having the layout set, and I think the results were worth the wait.
